Ben Carbine & the 18 Wheelers

Ben Carbine & the 18 Wheelers started their road trip back in 2005 and the band is still up and rolling. Along the way they have performed in bars, honky tonks and music festivals. They have become a very appreciated live act with their positive, high energetic combination of old and contemporary country music.

During their career the band has won the Swedish Country Music Championship in the genre Pop/Rock Country. Ben Carbine & the 18 wheelers have also contributed with a song on the compilation On the road – Country music drivin’ songs Vol1, where they show up among legends like Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Hank Williams.

During 2020 the band released three singles. First out was the 50-year-old song Joey Moroney, written by Gerry Madigan & the Cotton Mill Boys 1969. Next up was the previously unreleased song, While Time Flies Away, which the band wrote exclusively for the Swedish Country Music competition in 2009. Their hit single,Wide Open Highway, released on the 28th of December 2020, is written about and dedicated to a truck driver from Skellefteå starring in the TV series Svenska Truckers. The song will also appear in Svenska Truckersduring the spring 2021. And talking about the future, we do have to mention they are currently busy writing new material and that a new song Rollercoaster will be released later this spring.
