Petter Sandström was born and raised in the small town of Skellefteå, in the north of Sweden – 26th of November 1981. He grew up in front of mum and dads vinyl collection, which served as his musical education, where bands and artists like The Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, Van Morrison& Phil Spector were the tutors.
Joined his first band as a singer, after high school, but was more of a record collector than a musician back then. Progressed as a singer/songwriter in a local band and made the decision to release an album under his own name.
In 2011 he wrote and recorded the debut album: “The river st. blues” – in his hometown Skellefteå. The ten self produced songs are mixed and mastered by Henrik Oja (Säkert! among others) and will be released in the beginning of 2012.
And for your knowledge, Petter is also a member of the quite famous progressive rock-band Moonsafari, but when it comes to his solo-project, we can find his attributes from where it all started – with his parents record collection.
