We haven’t worked with anything near what can be described as soul music since we and Olle Nyman decided to go separate ways. But now it´s time again since we have signed a new artist by the name Petter Sandström. And if Olle was something of a Morison type of musician, from time to time, Petter is more of a Motown loving sly dog on one hand and a huge Bruce admire on the other.
First out from Petter is a single called “Lean on me”, release November 22nd, which will be followed a couple of weeks later with a Christmas song (yeah you´re right, we´re going to release a Christmas song, which indeed will be very much of a Christmas song). More of this later.

It goes quite well for the northern indie-pop sensation Oh My! Their latest single “Time will tell” is still on rotation at Swedish national radio P3 (their previously two singles were also on rotation) and it has made to the third round in P3´s “låtduellen” (song duel).
Nearest on Oh My!´s agenda is a couple of gigs;
Uppsala 26/11
Stockholm 1/12
Linköping 2/12 (together with label mates We are the Storm)
Norrköping 3/12 (also with We are the Storm)
Sundsvall 9/12
After that, in the beginning of 2012, a cool three track vinyl-single will be released (one new song together with two of their radio-hits).
But it wont stop there since Oh My! also will contribute with a brand new, catchy, song on a forthcoming West Side Fabrication compilation, also with a release early next year (but more of this later).

Once in a while I do listen to older stuff, older West Side releases. The other day was on of those days. One album that I particular found good and still interesting enough to be brought to your intention was Tommy 16´s first album “Shauna”. An album that was originally released back in 1995. Tommy 16 was probably one of the finest, it not the finest, power-pop band in Sweden (for those who likes acts like Teenage Fanclub, Big Star etc). They where steamed as a side project to the swedish singing act Hardy Nilsson, and in their short carrier they only released two albums and an EP, as well as a couple of singles. Their biggest success were their second album “Rocking big Buddha”, which sold quite well both here and there and from where a couple of radio hits where taken, as well as their biggest one “Come on, come on”.
But from my personal horizon I do think their first one is their best one, with some absolute truly good pop-tunes that still stands today. If you´re interested just listen for your self; Tommy 16 – Shauna

This beautiful song, which reminds a little about BQ stuff from around “Personality crisis” is played by P3 now a days. The album “Rest in pieces”, from where the single is taken, will be out in a fortnight.
